In a serious motorcycle accident involving only the bike and injuries to its occupants, typically the only claim will be for the passenger for his or her injuries. This passenger claim would typically be made against the insurance company for the motorcycle as well as possible UIM claims against other insurance policies. Unfortunately, we have seen numerous insurance companies attempt to deny the valid claims of passengers claiming the passenger was contributorily negligent thus barring the passengers claim. If you are a injured passenger in a motorcycle accident, contact the lawyers at Hendren & Malone for a free consultation.

Early on Wednesday morning a Raleigh police car was involved in an accident with a scooter in northeast Raleigh.
The accident happened on Skycrest Drive near the intersection of Hill Street. As a result of the accident, the scooter ended up under the front of the police vehicle. Two men who were riding on the scooter were killed in the accident.
It is not clear what caused this serious Raleigh scooter accident. However, accidents involving scooters at night can be tricky and securing evidence from the accident scene can make the difference in determining who was at fault in this type of wreck. In cases such as this, our law firm will typically send an accident engineer to the wreck scene to take detailed measurements of the physical evidence and photograph all markings on the roadway. Using well-tested engineering principals, we can often determine how the accident occurred and who was at fault.
