Reports indicate that the driver of the pickup has been charged with a failure to yield in causing the accident.  It is unclear who owns the flatbed trailer but this issue could be critical for Mr. Crocker as he searches for insurance to cover his serious injuries.  Truck and trailer cases can create unique insurance issues since trailers are considered covered autos under most North Carolina auto insurance policies.
