A gentleman named Kendall Jones was injured on Monday morning in an accident near Jacksonville NC.
The accident happened around 5:30 am on Pony Farm Road. Apparently, a driver of a minivan was attempting to pass Mr. Jones when the accident happened. Charges are pending against the minivan driver. Mr. Jones was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

There is very little information available about an accident involving a moped and a vehicle on Sunday in Sanford, NC.
The accident happened on NC 87 between Commerce Drive and Carolina Trace. According to reports, the moped rider was seriously injured and was transported to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

A gentleman named Clint Worley was killed on Friday while pushing his disabled motorcycle.
There is very little information available about this accident except that it happened on Pleasant Pines Church Road. It also appears that the accident happened at night. Based on our experience, we expect that there will be a significant investigation regarding the circumstances of this accident including the lighting conditions of the road and on the motorcycle. Hopefully, the NC Highway Patrol will be able to determine how this accident happened.

A terrible accident on Friday night has claimed the life of a married couple riding on their motorcycle.
The accident happened on N.C. 87 North in Alamance County at around 7:45 pm. According to reports, a pickup truck was traveling behind the motorcycle carrying Michael Turner and his wife Shannon Turner. The pickup truck apparently failed to reduce speed when the motorcyclists slowed to make a turn. Tragically, both motorcyclists were killed when they were ejected from their bike.

A husband and wife from Whitsett, North Carolina were involved in a serious motorcycle accident on Saturday while riding their motorcycle near Salem, Virginia.
The accident happened on Virginia Route 112. It is not clear from reports what caused the accident but it involved a 2006 Dodge Charger. As a result of the accident, Barry Capps was tragically killed and his wife Shelby Capps was injured.

There is very little information about this accident except that it appears that the Dodge and the motorcycle were traveling in the same direction when the accident happened. Given the serious nature of the accident, hopefully local police will thoroughly investigate all possible causes of the accident.

A gentleman named Diangello Smith was killed Monday evening in Fayetteville when a pickup truck turned into his path while he was riding his motorcycle.
The accident happened near the intersection of Hope Mills Road and Spruce Road at around 6:30 pm. The driver of the pickup has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
It is not clear why the driver of the pickup failed to yield to Mr. Smith or whether the driver was distracted at the time of the accident. Hopefully, the investigating officers will be able to provide more details to the family of the victim.

A tragic accident in western North Carolina has claimed the lives of two gentlemen who were riding their motorcycles this past Saturday.
The accident happened on U.S. Highway 129 about eight miles north of Robbinsville, North Carolina just before noon. The motorcyclists, Grover Jones and Andy Jones, were hit by a Honda S-2000 sports car driven by a woman from Atlanta. Apparently, the sports car drove left of center and struck both motorcyclists. The driver has been charged in the accident. The gentlemen riding the motorcycles were brothers from Bristol, Tennessee.

A Raleigh motorcyclist named Joseph Alles was killed on Sunday night in Raleigh after being struck by a woman driving a sedan automobile.
The tragic accident happened around 7:30 pm at the intersection of Hollenden Drive and Spring Forest Road in the northern part of Raleigh. According to reports, the driver of the sedan was trying to turn left onto Hollenden when she hit the motorcyclist. A passenger on the motorcycle named Wendy Ingram Sparta was also injured and taken to WakeMed for treatment.

It is not clear from the available information on this accident whether the driver of the sedan was distracted at the time of the accident. In many cases such as this, we find evidence that the driver may have been using a handheld device at the time of the accident. A terrible accident involving a moped and a tractor-trailer has claimed the life of moped rider Toby Kistler.
The accident happened on Thursday on N.C. Highway 152 West near Mr. Kistler’s home in Mooresville, North Carolina. According to reports, a tractor-trailer was passing Mr. Kistler as Mr. Kistler was attempting to make a left turn. As a result, Mr. Kistler was struck by the passing trailer.

A gentleman named Thomas Hoosier was killed following an accident in Glen Alpine near Morganton, North Carolina. The accident happened around 7:50 pm at the four-way intersection of US Highway 70 and London Street.
According to reports, Mr. Hoosier had entered the intersection when he was struck by a Chevy Suburban. The driver of the Suburban has been charged with a safe movement violation. There is some indication that the lights on the moped were not operational at the time of the accident. However, this is not confirmed and most scooters and mopeds are now designed so that the lights come on automatically when the ignition is turned on.
