Michael Rivas Killed in Fayetteville NC Motorcycle Crash
A gentleman named Michael Rivas was tragically killed on Saturday afternoon when his motorcycle was hit by a car. The crash happened on Saturday afternoon on Hope Mills Road at the intersection with Westgate Drive. According to available information, Mr. Rivas was traveling along Hope Mills Road when a woman driving a 2004 Mercury pulled across his path while attempting to turn on Westgate Drive. Mr. Rivas was 33 years old.
The driver of the Mercury has been charged with numerous crimes including unsafe movement, driving with an expired license, expired registration, and an inspection violation. Hopefully, the driver of the Mercury has insurance to help cover this significant claim. If not, the Rivas family may be entitled to uninsured motorists coverage to cover this claim.
