Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Arcadia NC Accident Involving Pedestrian
A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident Friday morning on NC Highway 150 North near Lexington, North Carolina. The accident apparently happened when a woman went to her mailbox to retrieve her mail and then turned back into the roadway without looking. The motorcyclist then struck the woman. A least one eye witness seems to indicate that the woman simply failed to see the motorcyclist.
Both the woman and the motorcyclist were taken to Wake Forest Baptists Hospital for treatment.

This is an unusual accident because it involves a pedestrian instead of another vehicle. One significant question from this wreck is whether there is any insurance for the claims of either person. In our experience, the injuries sustained by the motorcyclist may be covered under the woman’s homeowners’ insurance as it appears the woman was at fault.
