Motorcyclist William Baker Jr. killed in head-on collision near Hertford, North Carolina.
A motorcyclist named William Baker Jr. was tragically killed on Monday in a head-on collision with a Nissan Sentra on Harvey Point Road near Hertford, North Carolina.
The crash happened at around 2:45 pm when the driver of the Nissan Sentra apparently crossed the center line and hit Mr. Baker head-on. Mr. Baker was driving a 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Mr. Baker, who was 58 years old, was from Hertford, North Carolina.
Charges are pending against the operator of the Nissan who was also injured in the collision. At the present time, there is no indication as to why the operator of the Nissan crossed the center line.

A motorcyclist in Durham, North Carolina was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday evening. The wreck happened around 6:30 pm at the intersection of Holloway Street and Hardee Street.
At the current time, there is no indication regarding a suspect for this crash. Fortunately, reports indicate the motorcyclist is expected to survive.

A motorcyclist was tragically killed on Sunday afternoon as a result of an accident on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The wreck happened around 2:30 pm at the intersection of West Franklin Street and Mallette Street and involved an SUV and the motorcycle.

A motorcyclist named Donald Teears was tragically killed on Monday in a motorcycle crash in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. The wreck apparently happened when a man crossed the center line of US Highway 158 and struck Mr. Teears.
Mr. Teears was 61 years old and pastor at the Kitty Hawk Baptist Church. The other driver, an 88 year old man, was charged with driving left of center and misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.

A gentleman named Anthony Monte Williams was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident Wednesday morning in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The wreck happened at around 8:30 am at the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Alspaugh Drive and involved an SUV.

A serious motorcycle accident on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Spruce Pine, North Carolina in McDowell Count has resulted in injuries to two motorcyclists. The wreck happened on Sunday at around 2:00 pm when a motorcycle went over an embankment. One person on the bike suffered serious injuries requiring airlift to Mission Hospital in Asheville. A second person was taken by ground transport to Mission Hospital.
At this point, it is not clear what cause the bike to go over the embankment or if there are any charges against the operator as a result of the incident.

A gentleman named Steve Rhymer was riding his motorcycle near Thomasville, North Carolina on Saturday evening when he was hit by an SUV. The wreck happened on U.S. 29/70 near the intersection with Litwin Drive at around 8:48 pom. According to available information, Mr. Rhymer was traveling on US 29/70 when the SUV, a Toyota 4Runner, tried to cross all four lanes of US 29/70 and drove into Mr. Rhymer’s path.
Mr. Rhymer was severely injured and transported to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for treatment.
The police are apparently still investigating this accident. However, it would seem likely that the driver of the SUV would be charged with at least a failure to yield in this case.

A gentleman named Jerry Overcash was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on September 13 when he was hit by an SUV in Boone, North Carolina. The crash happened at around 3:35 pm on NC Highway 105. According to available information, a woman headed south on NC 105 made a lane change and hit Mr. Overcash as he rode on his Kawasaki motorcycle. Mr. Overcash, who is from Salisbury, North Carolina, was transported by ambulance to Watauga Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
The driver of the SUV was cited for an unsafe lane change.

A young woman named Isabella Allen was seriously injured in a Friday hit-and-run moped crash in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina. The crash happened sometime around 10:30 pm when a woman driving a Ford Expedition hit Ms. Allen as she traveled home from work.
The driver of the Ford Expedition fled the scene but was later apprehended by police and arrested on multiple charges. Ms. Allen was only 16 years old.

A person driving a moped in Reidsville, North Carolina was killed in a crash on Tuesday morning. The crash happened on Freeway Drive near the intersection with Sunnycrest Drive at around 6:00 am.
There is very little information available about this tragic crash. Reidsville Police are asking that anyone with information about the crash contact the Reidsville Police Department at 336-349-1010.
