A serious motorcycle accident on Highway 17 near Shallotte on Friday afternoon has claimed the life of motorcyclist Melvin Hines.
The accident apparently happened when traffic had slowed to stop and Mr. Hines applied his brakes and then slid off the road. A passenger on Mr. Hines motorcycle survived the wreck but was injured and taken to the hospital.

A terrible wreck in Salisbury, North Carolina on Thursday morning has resulted in two deaths. Apparently, two teenagers were riding a scooter early Thursday morning when an SUV pulled into the road and struck them knocking them into an oncoming truck.
From the article, it is not clear whether police were planning to file charges.

A terrible accident on Friday night in Johnston County, North Carolina has claimed the life of motorcyclist Ryan Brown.
The accident apparently happened on Highway 50 around 9:00 pm. According to reports, Mr. Brown was traveling eastbound on Page Road when he attempted to make a turn and was struck by another vehicle. It is not clear from reports who was at fault and police are apparently investigating.

A Reidsville, North Carolina serious wreck involving two motorcycles and a truck on Sunday evening has resulted in serious injuries to two motorcyclists.
The wreck apparently happened on NC 87 near Combs Road. As a result of the accident, a male motorcyclist was killed and a female motorcyclist was seriously injured.

Two motorcyclist were injured on Friday in a crash on I-40 near the Miami Boulevard exit.
The accident apparently happened when traffic slowed and the motorcyclists braked quickly causing them motorcycles to hit each other. one rider apprently went off the road onto the shoulder nad the second rider had to lay down his bike on the roadyway. Both riders were taken to Duke with serious injuries.

Motorcyclist Jonathan Todd of Pfafftown, North Carolina was killed on Sunday afternoon when he was hit from behind while waiting at an intersection.
This terrible accident happened on N.C. 127 at the intersection of Falling Creek Road. The accident is still being investigated but charges are expected.

A terrible accident on Saturday afternoon near Snow Hill, North Carolina has claimed the life of motorcyclist Everette Best of Florida.
The wreck apparently happened when a driver ran a stop sign and struck a sheriff’s deputy’s car. One of the two vehicles then hit the motorcycle driven by Mr. Best.

A New Bern genetlemen named Brandon Bauer was apparently injured on Wednesday while riding his motorcycle.
The wreck happened near the intersection of U.S. 70 and Catfish Lake Road and happened when another diver truned into Mr. Bauer’s path. Mr. Bauer has been taken to Carolina East Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Larry Shepherd of Wilmington, North Carolina was critically injured on Saturday evening when a car apparently pulled in front of Mr. Shepherd’s scooter.
The wreck apparently happened on Lake Park Boulevard when the other driver turned left into the Scotchman.

Motorcyclist Joseph Justice was seriously injured on Wednesday after a car truned into his path on Western Boulevard in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
The driver of the car has been charged with an unsafe movement violation. Mr. Justice was transported to Onslow Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
