Winston-Salem, NC (December 29, 2020) – A very serious motorcycle crash in Winston-Salem, North Carolina has resulted in injuries to a motorcyclist named Christopher Astrop.
The wreck happened at the intersection of Akron Drive and Indiana Avenue at around 8:40 p.m. on Monday evening.
According to police, there was a collision between Mr. Astrop and a passenger vehicle. At this point, it is not clear why the accident happened or which driver may be at fault.
Hopefully, Mr. Astrop will be OK and recover from his serious injuries.

Salisbury, NC (November 29, 2020) – A motorcyclist named Michael Salyer was very seriously injured in a wreck in Salisbury, North Carolina on Sunday afternoon.
The wreck happened on Jake Alexander Boulevard at around 4:00 p.m. According to available information, Mr. Salyer was traveling in the left northwest on Kae Alexander Boulevard. A man driving a Chevrolet van was traveling in the right lane and attempted to make a U-turn. As the man attempted the U-turn, he apparently crossed in front of Mr. Salyer causing the collision.
Mr. Salyer ended up being dragged beneath the van and was very seriously injured. He was taken by helicopter to a local trauma unit for treatment. There is not currently any work on his condition but we certainly hope he recovers.
There is also no word on any charges against the van driver stemming from this accident.

Boiling Springs Lakes, NC (October 28, 2020) – Kendra Connelly Killed in Boiling Springs Lakes, North Carolina Motorcycle Accident
A woman named Kendra Connelly was tragically killed late Monday night in a motorcycle wreck in Boiling Springs Lakes, North Carolina.
Ms. Connelly was apparently riding as a passenger on a motorcycle when the bike went off the roadway, hit a sign, and then hit a wall over a culvert.
Ms. Connelly, who was just 25 years old, did not survive. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment.
At the present time, it is not clear what charges may be brought against the driver although it would be expected that he would be charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.

Concord, NC (October 27, 2020) – Motorcyclist Leon Howie Killed in Concord, NC Wreck with Unattached Trailer
A gentleman named Leon Howie, Jr. was tragically killed last week when he was hit by a trailer that had become unattached from an excavator.
The tragic wreck happened on Warren C. Coleman Boulevard in Concord, North Carolina last Tuesday just before 11:00 am. According to available information, a man was towing a mini-excavator that became unhitched and crossed the centerline hitting Mr. Howie on his motorcycle.
Mr. Howie, who was 38 years old and from Concord, North Carolina, was declared deceased at the accident scene.
The driver of the vehicle towing the excavator has been charged with several crimes including misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, improper towing, and operating a commercial vehicle without a license.

Winston-Salem, NC (July 8, 2020) – John Cobb Killed in Winston-Salem, NC Moped Accident
A gentleman named John Cobb was tragically killed in a Winston-Salem, North Carolina moped accident.
The accident happened around 10:00 pm on Sunday evening at the intersection of Old Belews Creek Road and Beeson Dairy Road. According to available information, Mr. Cobb was driving a Bahama moped south on Old Belews Creek Road when a man driving a Mercedes turned into Mr. Cobb and knocked him off the road.
The collision knocked Mr. Cobb off the moped and he was determined to be deceased at the scene.
At the present time, no charges have been filed against the Mercedes driver.

LEXINGTON, NC (May 26, 2020) – Lexington NC Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Crash
A woman has been charged with multiple crimes after leaving the scene of an accident involving a motorcyclist near Lexington, North Carolina on Saturday evening.
The wreck happened shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Cotton Grove Road. According to available information, a 56-year old woman caused the wreck with the biker and left the scene and went to a nearby restaurant. She was apprehended and charged with felony hit-and-run, failure to yield, open container, DWI, possession or marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.
The injured motorcyclist was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for treatment. We certainly hope the biker will recover from his or her injuries.

David Head and Dawn Head were both tragically killed on Saturday in a motorcycle crash near Clayton, Georgia.
The available information indicates that a young man driving a Jeep Commander failed to maintain his lane and hit David and Dawn as they rode on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The wreck happened near the intersection of Highway 441 and Old Highway 441 and Georgia Route 15.
The Georgia State Patrol Specialized Accident Reconstruction Team is conducting an investigation into the wreck and there is no indication of whether the driver of the Jeep has been charged.

JOHNSTON COUNTY, NC (May 6, 2020) – Kenneth Perry Killed in Motorcycle Wreck
A gentleman named Kenneth Perry was tragically killed on Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle collision with a car in Johnston County, North Carolina.
The wreck happened around 2:30 pm on Lake Wendell Road as Mr. Perry drove eastbound on the road. The wreck involved a head-on collision with a car traveling in the westbound direction.
Mr. Perry was declared dead at the scene and the driver of the car was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
At this time it is not clear what caused the wreck. If we learn more about this wreck, we will update this story.

RALEIGH, NC (May 5, 2020) – Motorcyclists Seriously Injured in U.S. Highway 70 Accident
A very serious motorcycle accident on Saturday afternoon on U.S. Highway 70 in Raleigh has resulted in serious injuries to several motorcyclists.
The wreck happened around 1:40 pm on Highway 70 near the intersection with Interstate 540 and involved a large group of motorcyclists. Within the group of bikers, one of the motorcyclists hit three others and all four vehicles crashed. All four injured motorcyclists were transported to Duke University Medical Center in Durham for treatment.

CHARLOTTE, NC (May 5, 2020) – Cerveria Stanton Killed in Charlotte NC Motorcycle Crash
A very serious motorcycle accident in Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday has resulted in the tragic death of biker Cerveria Stanton.
The wreck happened around 11:00 am on South Boulevard between East Park Avenue and East Boulevard. According to available information, Mr. Cerveria was traveling north on South Boulevard on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when a woman driving a Nissan Altima turned across his path.
The impact of the collision caused Mr. Cerveria to be thrown from his bike. He was transported to Atrium Health in Charlotte but tragically died of his injuries.
The driver of the Nissan was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and failure to yield.
