A Raleigh motorcycle wreck early on Sunday morning has resulted in injuries to a motorcyclist.
The accident happened early Sunday morning on West Street near the intersection of Edenton Street. The driver of the car was apparently impaired and has been charged. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

A Wilmington, NC motorcycle accident on Friday resulted in injuries to the motorcyclist.
The accident apparently happened when a car cut across traffic on Dawson Street near 15th Street and struck the motorcycle. The motorcyclist apparently suffered a broken ankle. It is not clear how badly the motorcycle was damaged.

A terrible wreck on New Year’s Day near Lumberton has claimed the life of ATV passenger Casie Blue.
Apparently, Ms. Blue was riding as a passenger on an ATV driven by Guster Scott on a rural road when they were struck from behind by another driver. The accident happened early Tuesday morning and, according to reports, the ATV had no working tail lights. Both the driver of the ATV and the other driver have been charged with driving while impaired. Mr. Scott was also injured and taken to a local hospital.

A motorcyclist was killed on Wednesday as a result of an accident near Brevard, North Carolina.
The accident apparently involved a minivan and happened on U.S. 64 near the Sav-Mor Grocery. Details about the accident were not available but since the accident involved a fatality, the State Highway Patrol will likely prepare a detailed accident report.

Moped driver Russell Bolton was injured on Wednesday afternoon in a serious accident in Burlington, North Carolina.
The accident apparently happened when a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer failed to reduce speed and struck Mr. Bolton. After hitting Mr. Bolton, the Trailblazer then hit a second vehicle driven by Addie Richmond. The impact then caused Ms. Richmond to hit a car driven by James Pringle, Jr. Unfortunately, Mr. Bolton, Ms. Richmond and Mr. Pringle were injured as well as two other passengers.

Motorcyclist Nathan Dub was riding his bike on Military Cutoff Road in Wilmington on Monday afternoon when an SUV pulled into his path.
This serious accident happened around 2:00 Monday afternoon and Mr. Dub was seriously injured as a result of the wreck. The driver of the Lexus SUV has apparently been charged with failure to yield.

A terrible motorcycle accident in Smithfield, North Carolina on Sunday has resulted in three deaths.
According to police reports, the accident happened when a motorcycle driven by Ricky Mooneyhan crashed with a pickup truck driven by Ralph Rose. The accident happened on Buffalo Road near U.S. 70. Mr. Mooneyhan and Mr. Rose were killed. A passenger on the motorcycle named Jennifer Sabato was also killed.
We have read different accounts of what happened in this wreck including a suggestion that both Mr.Rose and Mr. Mooneyhan were at fault. Regardless, this is a terrible accident and the families of the victims have our sympathies.

A terrible motorcycle accident in Elm City, North Carolina on Saturday night has caused two deaths.
The accident happened at the intersection of East Langley Road and Bottoms Dairy Road when the motorcyclist apparently went through a stop sign and hit a car. The motorcyclist, Robert Underwood, and his passenger, Danyell Saunders, were killed.

A terrible and tragic ATV accident has claimed the life of an 11 yeard old boy from Hope Mills, North Carolina.
The wreck apparently happened on Sunday evening while the young boy was riding on the back of the ATV driven by a friend. Reports indicate that the victim was not wearing a helmet when the wreck happened.

It is not clear what happened in this wreck but it is certainly a tragedy that probably could have been avoided. Under North Carolina law, children are resticted on how they can operate an ATV and there should always be parental supervision.

Motorcyclist Arnold Keith Key was killed in an accident on I-95 early Saturday morning on I-95 in Florida.
The accident apparently happened when Mr. Key was attempting to exit the travel lane of southbound I-95 when he was struck from behind by a Toyota Avalon driven by a 19 year old.
