A gentleman named Timothy Michael Powell was seriously injured when he was hit by a car while riding his moped in Garner, NC on Monday morning.

The wreck happened on U.S. 70 Business near Garner at around 5:20 a.m.  According to available information, Mr. Powell was traveling east when he was hit from behind by an Infinity automobile driven by a man from Durham, NC.

Mr. Powell was taken to Wakemed in Raleigh for treatment of very serious injuries.

Motorcyclist Phillip Camera Seriously Injured in Clayton NC Accident With Impaired Driver

A gentleman named Phillip Camera was seriously injured early Sunday morning when he was hit by an impaired driver in Clayton, NC early Sunday morning.

The accident happened at the intersection of Old Garner Road and Shotwell Road at around 12:30 am.  Apparently, a 42 year old female driver suddenly attempted a U-Turn on Old Garner Road and slammed into Mr. Camera as he was riding through the intersection.  The woman driver was cited for DWI, driving with license revoked, improper turn, failure to reduce speed, and a felony charge of aggravated serious injury by vehicle.

Raleigh Hit-And-Run Motorcycle Accident Seriously Injures Javaan Lopez

A gentleman named Javaan Lopez was seriously injured on Friday night in a hit and run motorcycle accident.

The accident happened at around 11:45 p. on Capital Boulevard near the intersection with Millbrook Road. According to available information, Mr. Lopez was struck from behind by a Toyota sedan driven by David Madrid from Wilson, NC.  Mr. Madrid then apparently left the scene on foot and then returned while police were investigating the wreck.  Mr. Madrid now faces multiple charges relating to the wreck.

Mr. Lopez, who is 49 years old, was taken to Wakemed in Raleigh for treatment of serious injuries.

Michael Thatcher Killed in Fuquay-Varina, NC Motorcycle Accident

A young man named Michael Thatcher was tragically killed on Thursday night in a multi-vehicle accident near Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.

The tragic accident happened around 8:20 p.m. near the intersection of N.C. Highway 42 and Johnny Baker Road. According to available information, a teenage girl was distracted because she was adjusting her air conditioning when she rear-ended a passenger car that was pushed into the lane in which Mr. Thatcher was traveling.

The teen driver has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed.  Mr. Thatcher was 27 years old.

Motorcyclist Todd Jones Killed When Dog Runs on Road Near Concord, NC

A gentleman named Todd Jones was riding his motorcycle on Old Concord Road on Friday night when a dog ran onto the roadway and caused an accident.

The accident happened around 10:00 on Friday night and the dog apparently caused Mr. Jones to lose control of his motorcycle and run off the road. Tragically, Mr. Jones passed away from his injuries on Wednesday.  Mr. Jones as a 46 year-old diesel mechanic.

It is not clear from available information who the dog belonged to or why the dog was running loose.

Winston-Salem NC Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of Biker

A gentleman named Ronnie Irvin Sell, Jr. was tragically killed in an accident on Sunday night in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Mr. Sell was apparently riding his motorcycle north on Martin Luther King Boulevard when he was involved in an accident with an SUV at the intersection with First Street.

North Carolina Motorcyclist Jerry Jackson Jr. Killed in Conway SC Accident

A gentleman named Jerry Jackson, Jr. was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle along U.S. 701 near Conway, SC with two other fellow motorcyclists on Saturday afternoon when a car pulled out into their path.

The car, apparently a Saturn automobile, pulled out from a driveway causing all three bikes to hit the car.  Mr. Jackson was pronounced dead at the other bikers were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.  While not required in South Carolina, each of the bikers were apparently wearing helmets. Based on the limited information available, it appears the bikers had no chance to avoid this accident.

Motorcyclist Kevin Medina Seriously Injured in Clayton NC Accident

A gentleman named Kevin Medina was seriously injured on Saturday night in a serious motorcycle-car accident in Clayton, North Carolina.

The accident happened on N.C. Highway 42 West just after 9:00 p.m.  Apparently, a driver of a car may have turned into the path of Mr. Medina as he rode along on his bike.  As a result of the accident, charges are pending against the driver of the car.  Mr. Medina was taken to Wakemed in Raleigh for treatment of serious injuries.

Matthews NC Motorcycle Accident Results in Death of Biker

A motorcycle accident in Matthews, North Carolina on Wednesday morning has resulted in the death of a biker.

The accident happened around 6:15 a.m. on Idlewild Road just west of Rice Road.  According to the limited information available, a car made a sudden stop which caused the motorcyclist to lose control and crash.
