Biker Hurt in Apex NC Motorcycle Accident

A gentleman riding his motorcycle along Old US Highway 1 near Apex NC was injured on Sunday when a car crossed several lanes and hit the biker.

The accident happened around 3:30 pm near the Goldstar Soccer Club just a few miles southwest of Apex, NC.  The driver of the car was charged with a failure to yield.  The biker suffered road rash injuries.

Impaired Driver Kills Moped Rider Christopher Leon Terry in Henderson NC Accident

A gentleman named Christopher Leon Terry was tragically killed early Friday morning in a moped accident in Henderson, North Carolina.  According to available information, Mr. Terry was hit by an SUV that crossed the center-line of the roadway. The driver of the SUV was apparently impaired and driving without a license.  The SUV driver fled the scene of the accident but was later caught by [police and he is now in the Vance County jail.

Kernersville NC Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of Driver and Injures Passenger

A gentleman was tragically killed, and a passenger seriously injured, on Sunday evening in a motorcycle accident in Kernersville, North Carolina.  The accident happened near mile marker 16 when a man apparently lost control of his bike and struck a guardrail on U.S. Highway 421.  The accident happened around 5:00 pm.

A passenger on the motorcycle named Saige Leftwich was seriously injured in the accident and taken to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem for treatment.

At the present time, police are apparently not certain why the driver lost control of the bike and they are investigating the accident.

Dominique Bryant Killed in Greenville NC Motorcycle Accident

A gentleman named Dominique Bryant was tragically killed on Thursday morning in a Greenville, NC motorcycle accident.  The wreck happened at the intersection of Greenville Boulevard and Golden Road when a car apparently turned into the path of Mr. Bryant.

There is very little information about what might have prompted the other driver to turn into Mr. Bryant’s path.  However, charges are pending against the driver.  Mr. Bryant was 31 years old at the time of this crash.

Motorcyclist Cynthia Cannon Killed in Hubert, NC Motorcycle Accident With Truck

A woman named Cynthia Cannon was tragically killed on Sunday night in a motorcycle accident in Hubert, North Carolina.  The accident apparently happened when Ms. Cannon was hit by a truck.

The 26 year old driver of the truck has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.  Ms. Cannon was 54 years old.

Command Sergeant Major Lynn Ratley Killed in Fayetteville NC Motorcycle Accident

A gentleman named Lynn Ratley was tragically killed on Saturday in a motorcycle accident in Fayetteville, North Carolina.  The accident happened around 5:30 pm on Gillespie Street.  According to available information, a person driving a 2000 Honda motor vehicle crossed the center line of Gillespie Street and hit Mr. Ratley head-on.  Mr. Ratley was riding a 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and died as a result of the crash.

Charges are pending against the driver of the Honda.

Mr. Ratley was a Command Sergeant Major in the 261st Multifunctional Medical Battalion at Fort Bragg.  He was 47 years old.

Aaron Kinard Seriously Injured in Lillington NC Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Accident

A gentleman named Aaron Kinard was seriously injured in a Lillington, North Carolina hit-and-run motorcycle accident last Sunday.

The accident happened on U.S. 421 in Harnett County and the driver was only apprehended due to the willingness of a witness to track down the other driver.  The offending driver, Christopher Ramirez, tried to flee the scene but a witness named Matt Cotten and his son followed the driver and held him at gun point until police arrived.

Mr. Kinard suffered serious injuries including injuries to his leg that will require multiple surgeries.  Hopefully, there is enough insurance, including underinsured motorists’ coverage, for Mr. Kinard’s very serious claim.

Robert Lacey Killed in Fayetteville, NC Motorcycle Wreck

A gentleman named Robert Lacey was killed in a motorcycle wreck on Saturday in Fayetteville, North Carolina.  The accident happened around 12:15 p.m. on Pamalee Drive and involved a car.  The reports available do not indicate what caused the accident or whether Mr. Lacey or the driver of the car were at fault.  Apparently, police are still investigating the accident.

Mr. Lacey apparently survived the accident long enough to be transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where has passed away.  He was 46 years old.

Whitsett NC School Bus Wreck Injures Motorcyclist

On Thursday morning in Whitsett, NC, a Guilford County school bus turned into the path of a motorcyclist on N.C. Highway 61. The accident happened at the intersection of Crescent Road.  Apparently, as the motorcyclist was traveling south on N.C. 61, the school bus attempted to turn left onto Crescent Road and crossed the path of motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was transported to Moses Cone Hospital for treatment of injuries.  Thankfully, none of the students on the bus were injured.

The driver of the school bus was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.

Larry Davis and Matthew Randall Killed in Greene County NC Moped Accident

Larry Davis, Jr. and Matthew Randall were killed in an accident while riding a moped on U.S. 264 in Greene County, North Carolina on Wednesday morning.

The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. when a Jeep Cherokee hit the moped carrying the two gentleman from behind as both vehicles were traveling east in the direction of Greenville, NC.  Both Mr. Davis and Mr. Randall were from Wilson, North Carolina.  It is not clear why the driver of the Jeep failed to reduce speed to avoid the accident.  Apparently, investigators are still deciding whether to press charges against the Jeep driver.
