A car pulling out a parking lot in Lexington, North Carolina has caused an serious motorcycle accident that injured the two riders on the motorcycle, Mickey Cranford and Chelsea Finacannon. The accident happened on Saturday at around 4:00 pm on NC Highway 8. According to available information, the car driver pulled into the path of the motorcycle. The operator of the bike, Mr. Cranford, then applied his brakes to avoid a collision but lost control and skidded.
Based on the information available, it appears Mr. Cranford did everything possible to avoid this crash and the wreck would appear to be the fault of the other driver. However, according to published information no charges have been filed at this time.

A gentleman named Daniel Abner was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in Fayetteville, North Carolina on Sunday morning. According to available information, Mr. Abner was traveling on Cedar Creek Road near Clinton Road when an SUV turned into his path. Mr. Abner was 60 years old and from Stedman, North Carolina.
The driver of the SUV was apparently attempting to turn onto Locks Creek Road when he crossed Mr. Abner’s path. The driver has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. At this point it is not clear whether the driver of the SUV has adequate insurance to cover the significant loss to the Abner family.

A gentleman named Umar Muhammad was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on Monday morning in Durham, North Carolina. The accident happened around 11:40 am on South Alston Street at the intersection with Massey Avenue. According to available information, a man driving a Cadillac Seville turned left into the path of Mr. Muhammad causing the accident.
Mr. Muhammad was thirty years old. The man driving the Cadillac was charged with several crimes including misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, failure to yield and driving with a revoked license. It is not clear whether the driver of the Cadillac had any insurance that might help Mr. Muhammad’s family with funeral expenses and the damages for his loss of life.

On Saturday morning a serious motorcycle accident in Clayton, North Carolina has resulted in injuries to two bikers. The accident happened around 10:00 am on Black Forest Drive. A 45 year old man driving the motorcycle was injured as was a 47 year old female passenger from Florida.

A gentleman motorcyclist named David Vincent was seriously injured on Monday afternoon in an accident in Burlington, North Carolina. The accident happened on North Church Street at the intersection with Vaughn Road. According to available information, a woman driving a Mazda sedan failed to yield to Mr. Vincent at the intersection causing the crash.
Mr. Vincent was flown to UNC Hospitals for treatment. The driver of the Mazda was cited for failure to yield. It is unclear whether the Mazda driver was distracted for any reason that caused this accident. Mr. Vincent’s Harley Davidson was totaled in the crash.

Two motorcyclists named Joseph Feliz Jr. and Leslie Haddock were tragically killed on Thursday when the motorcycle they were riding was hit from behind by a tractor trailer in Greenville, North Carolina. The accident happened around 8:10 pm on N.C. highway 11 near the intersection of Alexander Brown Road.
According to available information, the two motorcyclists were traveling south on N.C. 11 when the tractor-trailer rear-ended them. The wreck remains under investigation by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
This is a very serious accident and it would appear to have been preventable had the driver of the tractor-trailer been paying more attention to the road. It is unclear at this time whether the driver was distracted by any on-board device such as a cell phone and these type of issues should be investigated to determine why this accident happened. Joseph Feliz as 50 years old and Leslie Haddock was just 41 years old.

A gentleman named Claude Hubbard was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on Friday night in Alamance County, North Carolina. The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on North Carolina Highway 87 at the intersection with Spring valley Drive. According to reported information, Mr. Hubbard was traveling north on NC 87 when a minivan traveling south attempted to make a left turn at Spring Valley Drive. The minivan crossed the path of Mr. Hubbard causing thee fatal crash.
Mr. Hubbard was 48 years old. The driver of the minivan was cited for misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
