Kevin Mroczko Killed and Stephanie Warn Injured in Lillington, NC Motorcycle Accident

Motorcyclist Kevin Mroczko was killed and his passenger Stephanie Warn was injured after the motorcycle they were riding on was struck from behind by a drunk driver who then fled the scene.

The wreck happened on Sunday morning on US 401 near Byrd Road about two miles north of Bunn Level.  According to available information, a man driving a 2002 Cadillac hit the motorcycle from behind causing Mr. Mroczko and Ms. Warn to be thrown from the bike.  The Cadillac driver then fled the scene but was later apprehended.

Mr. Mroczko was pronounced dead at the scene.  There is not word on Ms. Warn’s injuries.

This is obviously a terrible accident that should never have happened.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims’ families.

Motorcyclist Chris Lipford Seriously Injured in Greensboro NC Motorcycle Accident

A motorcyclist named Chris Lipford was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Saturday evening in Greensboro, North Carolina.  The accident happened at around 7:00 pm at the intersection of McKnight Mill Road and Hines Chapel Road.  According to available information, Mr. Lipford was trying to turn left on Hines Chapel Road when a driver hit him from behind.  The other driver then fled the scene.

Mr. Lipford was transported to Moses Cone Hospital with serious injuries.

Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Wake Forest NC Crash on Capital Boulevard

A gentleman operating a motorcycle on northbound Capital Boulevard in Wake Forest was seriously injured in an accident on Saturday afternoon.  The accident happened around 4:45 pm near Burlington Mills Road.  Apparently, another driver was traveling northbound and planned to turn left onto Burlington Mills Road.  At the last moment and without any apparent warning to the motorcyclist, the driver decided to turn right and crossed the path of the motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was transported to Wakemed with serious injuries.

Whitney Jackson and John Nash III Killed in Tabor City NC Motorcycle Accident With Distracted Teen Driver

A tragic accident in Tabor City, North Carolina last weekend has claimed the lives of motorcyclists Whitney Jackson and John Nash, III.  The accident happened on NC Highway 410 near O.L. Colemand Road early Sunday morning.

According to available information, Mr. Nash was operating his new Harley Davidson motorcycle with Ms. Jackson riding as a passenger.  A 17 year old girl from Hope Mills, North Carolina apparently glanced at her phone and failed to see the motorcycle stopped in front of her.

After the collision, Ms. Jackson died at the scene and Mr. Nash died several days later at a hospital in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Ms. Jackson and Mr. Nash were apparently engaged to be married.  She was 29 years old and he was 30 years old.  Charges are pending against the teen driver.

Motorcyclist Phillip Ward Killed in Burlington NC Accident

A gentleman named Phillip Ward was tragically killed on Saturday night in an accident in Burlington, North Carolina.  According to available information, Mr. Ward was driving west on North Church Street on his motorcycle when a collision occurred with a minivan.  The wreck happened at approximately 6:45 pm near the intersection with Bland Boulevard.

As of today, police were still investigating the accident and asking that anyone with information contact the Burlington Police Department at 336-229-3500.

Gastonia NC Motorcyclist and Passenger injured When Hit by Impaired Driver

A motorcyclist and a passenger were seriously injured in Gastonia, North Carolina on Sunday night when they were hit by an impaired driver.  The accident happened around 11:15 pm on Union New Hope Road.

Jeremy Hollifield Killed in Asheville NC Motorcycle Accident

A gentleman named Jeremy Hollifield was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident early Sunday morning near Asheville, North Carolina.  The wreck happened at approximately 4:37 am when a box truck apparently did a u-turn on Brevard Road and crossed into the path of Mr. Hollifield. The Asheville Police Department’s accident reconstruction unit is investigating this accident to determine if charges will be filed.  Mr. Hollified was 37 years old.

Motorcyclist Shay Black Seriously Injured in High Point NC Hit and Run Wreck

A young woman named Shay Black was seriously injured on September 5, 2018 in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident in High Point, North Carolina.  The accident happened near the intersection of Eastchester Drive and Haverly Drive at around 9:55 a.m.  According to available information, Ms. Black was on her way to work when a car driven by Knyaw Htoo hit her causing serious injuries.

Mr. Htoo then fled the scene but was finally caught this Tuesday by High Point Police.

Moped Driver Calvin Wilson Seriously Injured in Elizabeth City, NC Collision

A gentleman named Calvin Wilson was seriously injured in a moped versus car collision on Tuesday in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.  The accident apparently happened at around 6:45 pm on West Ehringhaus Street near the 1300 block.  According to available information, Mr. Wilson was traveling westbound on the road when an SUV turned across his path to go into a Wendy’s parking lot.

Mr. Wilson and the driver of the SUV were transported to Sentara Hospital for treatment.  The driver of the SUV was cited for a failure to yield the right-of-way.

Thaj Singleton Killed in North Carolina Hit-and-Run Moped Collision

A young man named Thaj Singleton was tragically killed early Tuesday morning while riding a moped on US 421 in Chatham County, North Carolina.  The wreck happened around 3:30 a.m. as Mr. Singleton was traveling in the northbound lane of US 421.  According to available information, he was hit from behind by a box truck at a location just south of Gilmore Lodge Road.  The driver of the other vehicle, believed to be a box truck, fled the scene.

The box truck is believed to be an early 2000s International Box truck that is likely white in color.  The truck will have damage to the front right and center of the bumper in addition to a damaged headlight.
