A gentleman named Eric Dalton was killed on Saturday morning in a motorcycle crash in Greensboro, North Carolina. The crash happened at around 7:00 am on US Highway 29 near Lakeview Memorial Park. According to available information, Mr. Dalton was traveling north on US 29 when a man driving a 2013 Nissan pathfinder entered the roadway and there was a collision. The man driving the Nissan Pathfinder, Clarence Whitfield, was seriously injured. Mr. Dalton was 45 years old and from Greensboro.
The Greensboro Police Department accident reconstruction unit is conducting an investigation of the collision to further sort out how the collision occurred. If we learn more about this accident, we will update this post.

A gentleman named James William Haines, III was tragically killed on Sunday afternoon when he was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle. The wreck happened on NC Highway 210 near Island Creek Road when a man driving a Chevrolet car turned in front of Mr. Haines at the intersection of NC 210 and Annabelle Lane.
Mr. Haines was travelling west on NC 210 and apparently could not avoid the car. Mr. Haines was 46 years old. Reports indicate that the driver of the car was not injured. The driver of the car has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.

A gentleman named Dennis Williams was tragically killed in a motorcycle crash in Cape Carteret, North Carolina on Sunday. The crash happened around 11:55 am at the intersection of NC Highway 24 and Fox Drive. According to available information, a 54 year old man driving a car pulled into the path of Mr. Williams as Mr. Williams headed west on NC Highway 24.
The driver of the car has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and failure to yield causing to serious injury. Mr. Williams was 56 years old and from South Carolina.
At this point, it is not clear why the driver of the vehicle failed to see Mr. Williams. Hopefully, the accident report prepared by the Cape Carteret Police Department will provide additional information.

A gentleman named Bobby Bowman was seriously injured in a moped crash on Saturday in Burlington, North Carolina. The crash happened around 12:13 pm at the intersection of West Davis Street and Tarleton Street. According to available information, a person driving a Nissan car proceeded through the stop sign at the intersection causing the collision.
Mr. Bowman was transported to Moses Cone Hospital with critical injuries. At this point, it is not clear what caused the driver of the Nissan to fail to see Mr. Bowman.

A crash in Conover, North Carolina on Monday morning has resulted in serious injuries to a motorcyclist. The crash happened near the 700 block of Conover Boulevard West. As a result, the motorcyclist was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC for medical care.

A tragic motorcycle crash on Saturday evening in Kinston, North Carolina has claimed the life of motorcyclist Robert Hill. The crash occurred around 6:00 pm near the intersection of Vernon Avenue and College Street. Mr. Hill was 30 years old and from Kinston.

A gentleman named Michael Bannerman was tragically killed in an accident with a school bus on Thursday near Plymouth, North Carolina. The accident happened on NC Highway 1122 at the intersection with NC Highway 1175 at around 3:15 pm.
There is not much information about the cause the wreck and there is apparently a pending investigation. Mr. Bannerman was from Plymouth, North Carolina.

A gentleman named Jose Villejas was seriously injured on Thursday evening in a motorcycle crash in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The crash happened around 8:50 pm on Piney Green Road. According to available information, a man driving a 2003 Buick attempted a U-turn and hit Mr. Villejas. Mr. Villejas was ejected from his bike as a result of the collision.
The driver of the Buick has been charged with several traffic violations including driving with a revoked license. Hopefully, there is significant insurance available because it appears that Mr. Villejas has suffered very serious injuries.

A gentleman named Vaughn Mancio was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on Friday evening in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The accident happened around 5:30 pm at the intersection of Cliffdale Road and Beverly Drive.
According to available information, a Toyota Tundra truck was making a left onto Cliffdale Road from Beverly Drive as a motorcycle was traveling east on Cliffdale Road. The motorcycle collided with the rear of the pickup truck.
It is not clear from the available information whether the driver of the pickup truck will be cited for this accident. However, it does appear that the motorcycle would have been proceeding with the right-of-way when the accident happened. Fayetteville police are apparently still investigating the accident.

A serious crash on Wednesday evening in Salisbury, North Carolina has resulted in serious injuries to a motorcyclist. The crash happened on Bringle Ferry Road just after 6:30 pm near the Lake Community Church. According to reports, a Chevy Lumina turned left into the parking lot of Lake Community Church and did not yield to the motorcycle coming in the other direction.
The driver of the motorcycle and a passenger were seriously injured. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash. There is no word on whether charges have been filed but we would certainly expect the driver of the Lumina to be charged with a failure to yield at the very least.
