Moped Rider Edward Brady, Jr. Killed in U.S. 64 Accident
A gentleman named Edward Brady, Jr. Was tragically killed on Thursday evening when he was hit from behind by a car on U.S. 64 on Thursday evening.
The accident happened in Edgecombe County about 1/2 mile east of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. According to reports, Mr. Brady was riding his moped back from work when he was hit by a Autozone parts van. According to family members, all of the lights, reflectors and blinkers were working on the moped and it is not clear why the driver of the van failed to reduce speed to avoid the collision. The driver of the van has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
