On Sunday evening an accident in the Pisgah Forest claimed the life of scooter driver Charles W. Jordan.

According to available information, Mr. Jordan was turning his scooter from NC 280 onto US 64 when he was struck by another motorist.  Mr. Jordan was 45 years old. 

There is very little information about this accident including whether the other driver was charged.  It is also not known whether there were any aggravating circumstances in this accident such as whether the other driver was intoxicated.
