Randy Mason Killed in Durham NC Motorcycle Accident
A gentleman named Randy Mason was tragically killed Tuesday night in a motorcycle crash in Durham, North Carolina. The crash happened around 7:30 pm on Guess Road near the intersection with Garland Street. According to available information, Mr. Mason was traveling south on Guess Road when a Ford Focus attempted to turn onto Garland Street. Based on the reports of this crash, it appears that the Ford turned across the path of Mr. Mason.
Mr. Mason was transported to the hospital but did not survive. He was 28 years old and from Durham.
After this initial collision, another motorcyclist on a Honda bike crashed into the rear bumper of the Ford Focus. This motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
At this point, police have not filed any charges against the driver of the Ford Focus but it would appear that the driver of the Focus was at fault and would likely be charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
