James Williams Killed in Charlotte NC Hit and Run Motorcycle Accident
A motorcyclist named James Williams was killed Thursday evening in Charlotte, North Carolina in a hit and run motorcycle accident.
The accident occurred just north of uptown Charlotte at around 9:25 pm when a Ford F-150 apparently ran over Mr. Williams after he was thrown from his motorcycle. Following the accident, the driver of the F-150 fled the scene but was followed by two witnesses in a vehicle behind the Ford. The two witnesses, who should be commended for their efforts, followed the Ford and called 911. They followed the Ford onto Interstate 85 into Gaston County where a traffic stop apprehended the driver of the Ford. The driver of the Ford was arrested for DWI, felony death by motor vehicle and felony hit-and-run.
