Keith Ricks Killed in Charlotte, NC Motorcycle Accident
A motorcyclist named Keith Ricks was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Monday evening in Charlotte, North Carolina. The accident happened on Mallard Creek Road when a green minivan turned left from Keaton Avenue and into the path of Mr. Ricks. The minivan hit the back right side of Mr. Ricks bike causing him to lay the bike down and skid into the opposing lane where he was hit by a second vehicle. Mr. Ricks did not survive the crash. Mr. Ricks was 45 years old.
Police are actively looking for the green minivan which apparently sped away form the scene. The driver of the minivan is described as a Hispanic male with dark short hair. The minivan is believed to be a 1992-1998 Mercury Villager or similar type of van.
This is a very serious accident that is made only worse by the fact that the offending driver did not stop at the accident scene but, rather, chose to drive away. Hopefully, the police will track down this driver and bring him to justice for his acts.
