A terrible motorcycle accident in Durham, NC on Monday evening has claimed the life of motorcyclist Daniel Osbourne.

Apparently, Mr. Osbourne was traveling north on South Alston Avenue when a car turned left into his path.  The car was apparently trying to turn onto Dayton Street.  The accident happened at around 9:00 pm.

This type of motorcycle accident is among the most frequent seen on North Carolina roadways.  This accident usually happens due to the inattentiveness of the car driver and, in many cases, involves a driver who was distracted by cell phone usage or similar issues.  It is unclear what happened in this case to cause the accident.
