Motorcyclist William Freeman was riding his new 2013 Honda motorcycle Sunday when he was hit by a pickup truck that ran a stop sign.

The acccident happened near Pembroke, NC on Cabinet Shop Road at the Elrod Road intersection.  Tragically, Mr. Freeman did not survive the accident.  The driver of the pickup truck was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and failure to stop at a stop sign.  The pickup driver and a passenger were not hurt in the accident. Mr. Freeman was a resident of Maxton, North Carolina.

This accident is yet another example of auto drivers failing to pay attention to an oncoming motorcyclist.  Unfortunately, this accident had tragic consequences for Mr. Freeman and his family.
