A terrible wreck in Cumberland County, North Carolina on Saturday has claimed the life of a Hope Mills motorcyclist and seriously injured his wife who was a passenger.

The wreck apparently happened when a woman was making a left turn onto U.S. 301.  the woman hit a gentleman named Daniel Alward from Hope Mills, North Carolina who was riding a motorcycle with his wife Amanda Alward as a passenger.  Tragically, Mr. Alward was killed in the wreck and his wife was seriously injured.  The driver of the car faces several charges including misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
